The most outstanding waterfall! This view from a km away! The Dynjandi cascade is the top of about 5 smaller waterfalls, each wonderful in their own right. Overall, massive!
No bus trip would be complete without stopping at two or more waterfalls
Goðafoss, God's waterfall. The local law reader who decided that iceland should be Christian in 1000 threw his idols into this waterfall on his way home from parliament!
Helena and I at Goðafoss in April
Goðafoss
And yet another human sized properly beautiful waterfall! Skógafoss, see below for the same covered in snow!
Skogafoss
Gullfoss
Seljandsfoss
Gljufrabui, an almost hidden waterfall in the company of others!
Also Seljalandsfoss
Folaldafoss a short walk from the 939 in East Iceland
Dettifoss, even in mid May it was a 1km walk down an icy path the the waterfall, Iceland's most powerful! The further track down to an apparently even more visually stunning fall, Hafragilsfoss was still closed.
Fossfjörður waterfall is not usually this violent, amazing what several hours of real rain can produce!
