From Akureyri, Caroline and I visited Hrisey Island in early April. It was largely shut! We felt like the first tourists. But it had this lovely church!

Husavik's church was quite different to most
Iceland's oldest church. Near Hofsós
The church in Holar, home of the first bishop in Northern Iceland from about 1100
Blönduós also had a very interesting church
Ögurkirkja, with two quite distinct backgrounds .... the ugly one is a broken vehicle store!
Jón Sigurðsson Museum Hrafnseyri , at the end of a long bumpy road! and the museum, obscured, was not open!
