In March I tried to learn some Icelandic at MÃmir. It was fun in a masochistic sort of way and the teacher and students were all wonderful!
I jagged front row seats at the Harpa (Reykjavik's main concert hall, pics elsewhere) to a Led Zeppelin tribute show. Bring back the 70's that's what I say. It was pretty good!

They started planting forests in earnest 50 or so years ago. Amazingly environmentally conscious ... as you need to be when living on the edge!
A couple of percent of the population participated in this peaceful march in support of Palestine
