Last Tuesday, 16 April, I went dogsledding in the morning. Fabulous, one of the best fortunes I've spent! I didn't have the presence of mind to capture the forest, lake or mountains, but it was brilliant.
Such beautiful countryside.
I was actually stepping really hard on the brake so that the huskies didn't run away with the sled while I was the only one on it!
The owner, Gunnar on the left, is the cousin of Edda, who I met in Reykjavik, has was a winning racer, but his wife, not evident on the day, was apparently the real professional champion dog-sledder.
What a ride! Actually I was doing my best to keep the sled from moving while the driver was taking a short break!
